That dual vantage is what makes the difference: it is how Innov2Gro judges whether a technology is truly differentiated, and whether the commercial opportunity behind it is real and buildable.

Mandates are taken selectively. Innov2Gro engages only with companies whose technology is genuinely best-in-class — or on a credible path to becoming best-in-class. Selection is based on operating-level evaluation, not pitch decks.

Founder

Founded and led by Behzad Mahdavi, Ph.D., MBA

Behzad founded Innov2Gro to bring senior operating leadership to biopharma companies where the technology is real but the commercial engine still needs to be built — and to deliver it at scale, through a network held to his own standard rather than as a single operator.

He is a senior commercial leader in biopharma services with deep operating experience across CDMO, CRO, and platform companies, built over two decades at global multinationals — Lonza, Catalent, and Ginkgo Bioworks — and at growth-stage companies through senior C-level and Executive Chairman roles.

His work spans technology and innovation management, commercial strategy, international expansion, strategic partnerships, M&A, and operational transformation — with particular strength in situations where the technology is real but the commercial machinery still needs to be built. Author of Mastering Commercial Innovation. Bilingual English/French, dual US/Canadian citizenship. PhD in Chemistry, MBA, Chemical Engineer. NACD Directorship Certified®.
